WHY BOOKS AND LIBRARIES ?

Why books and libraries ? Guess what? I've already heard that question from literally everyone in my family. When I ordered books for the first time. Tell me, you have also experienced it, right?

Not long ago, I've welcomed myself into a new world. "The World Of Books".
Yes, you read right, I said BOOKS.

You might think, what's so great about it. Well, for you, right it might not be great. But for me, it's anything but not great.

I remember wanting to buy books for really, really a long time. But, since I was busy in my academic studies, and thanks to my typical Indian parents, who told me, "Focus on your studies first". I was not able to buy.

There must be a question going on in your mind right now, "Why I was so excited to buy it, when I actually have never read any non academic books?"

Trust me, I asked myself the same question then I realised that, maybe I just want to read about someone else's thoughts. I mean look, every book, whether it's a fictional, non-fictional or motivational and self help book, all of them have a little world in them. A little world written by a amazing writer.

Deep work and
Mindset
And finally, I convinced my parents to buy me self-help books. I love how the prices in a combo pack is lower than buying individually, so I bought this set.

Yeah, yeah, I know, many of you, who are actually old book readers, might think that,"What? self-help books?", "Girl, you haven't got the taste of real books yet." and much more. But what to do? It was my first time buying the books.
And when I got those books, the first thing I did was, I hugged it tight. Damm, that felt so good. So comforting. Like all of my worries have vanished away. I was giggling like a 10 years old, all by myself.
I still remember the date, the order I came. It 6 Dec. 2024.

And trust me, I wasn't exaggerating when I said, I felt real comfort  hugging  books. It's been 6 months, and I still behave the same, everytime, my ordered books come. and everytime, I feel sad, I just hug all of my books together.

I don't know whether it's a big number or small but in these past six months, I've bought like 12 books. Well, that's a different thing, that I spent like 3K on it.
Damm, if I had invested it, I could have made alot money, and would've been able to buy hardcover books.
Anyway, not guilty for my act.

After reading like quite genres of books both online and physical. I came to a conclusion that, at these moment of my life, I mean only at these point of my life, I don't want to buy novels with smut. Sorry, but dude, I live with my parents.{That's an different thing that, I''ll go to attend higher college in maybe 2 months}
Anyway, I generally like to read, about like, unique stories, new stories, not those always repeatative stories. I want to feel curious while reading it and most importantly, I want to learn atleast on lesson from it, whether it's about life, emotions, studies or anything, doesn't matter.
"Tell me about which one is your favourite genre and why?"

LIBRARIES:

Why do you like library?
For me, I like to read in library, specially when I have to complete my work or need to do some research, and when I want to read different books.
Weird right?
I mean, why would I  want to read a novel I bought in a library? I would rather, read it while sitting comfortably beside my window, with a large cup of coffee.

But the actual reason is, I feel so comfortable looking around, to find that I am surrounded by books. Every book contain a different topic, a different mind. And it gives me comfort.

"So tell me, do you relate to me?"
